Auburn Christmas Celebration!

Get geared up to welcome in the Christmas season by coming out to the Auburn Christmas celebration this Thursday evening at 5:30 pm. The event will begin with a cheerful Christmas Parade sponsored by the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and will continue with a Christmas celebration on Samford Lawn with Auburn University students, faculty, and staff. What better way to bring in this wonderful time of year than with Auburn family and friends!

Thanksgiving Day Brunch Extravaganza!


Come out and celebrate with The Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center this Thanksgiving for a feast you are sure to remember! This Thursday the Ariccia Italian Trattoria and Bar will host a Thanksgiving Day Brunch Extravaganza the entire family will enjoy. Tickets for adults will be $29.95 each and children's tickets 12 and under will be $12.95 Ariccia seating will begin at 12:00 and 2:30 pm and Grand Ballroom seating will be at 2:00 and 4:30 pm. Support the Junior League of Lee County!

In need of a little Christmas spirit? Come on out to the annual Poinsettia Truck Sale hosted by the Junior League of Lee County tomorrow, November 21, from 9 am until 3 pm. The sale will take place at the Wachovia parking lot on the corner of East University and Opelika Road and will feature a variety of poinsettias, including red, white, pink, and even marble. All proceeds will go to support programs for the children of Lee County. Be sure to come get one of these beautiful poinsettias and support a wonderful cause!

2009 National Peanut Festival



Nothing to do this weekend? Look no further! Bring the family and come on out to the nation's largest peanut festival in Dothan, Alabama. The festival began October 30th and will continue until November 8th, 2009. Events will include amusement rides, contests, arts and crafts, beauty pageants, food, concerts, and of course lots of peanuts! Nearly half of the nation's peanuts are grown within a 100 mile radius of Dothan and the festival celebrates the harvest season for all the peanut farmers. This is a fun time you don't want to miss!
