March of Dimes Bake Sale


Gambro, a global medical technology company, is helping support the March of Dimes this Spring with a bake sale this Friday in their lobby located at 1101 Jeter Avenue in Opelika. The March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization geared towards the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. All bake sale items will be only $1, so stop by in support of this wonderful cause!

Miracle Field Opening Day!


Come on out in support of the East Alabama Miracle Field this Sunday, March 28th, at 2:00 pm for the first game of the season! The Miracle Field is a project funded by the Opelika Lions Club, and is not only a baseball field, but an entire environment for the special needs children and ball players of East Alabama. The Miracle League is now accepting application for the Spring 2010 season, and all supporters are invited to come out. The League meets each Sunday at 2:00 pm, weather permitting, at the Billy Hitchock Miracle Field located at the West Ridge Baseball Complex Field #8 at 1600 Covington Avenue in Opelika. Pancakes Anyone?

Bring your apetite and the whole family out for a delicious pancake breakfast this Saturday, March 27, beginning at 6:00 am hosted by the Opelika Lions Club. Each pancake meal is only $5.00 and all proceeds go to benefit the programs sponsored by the Opelika Lions throughout the year, such as The Miracle Field and the Alabama Lions Sight Programs to name a few. This event will take place at Opelika Middle School on Denson Drive. Come out for a wonderful breakfast for a great cause.
